Does nobody have it subbed?!
1. Why is it that some of the best videos are super-hard to find? From some time around the TEPPEN video, they made 5-10 minute video of "dates" with the NEWS members. I haven't found it anywhere! All I can find are random little bits of it here and there, UNSUBBED. Annoying, I know.2. Why is it that Malaysia seems to be the only country in the world that uses "What's the 'power' of your glasses, ah?"Yamapi - Right 0.3, Left 1.0Massu - Right -2.0, Left -2.0Tegoshi - Right -0.8 Left -0.8Shige - Right -0.3 Left -0.4Koyama - Right -1.0 Left -1.0Kusano - Right -2.0 Left -2.0Ryo - Right-2.0, Left-2.0Uchi - Right-1.5 Left-1.5No, I didn't go looking for it, I just found it while looking for translations of lyrics. But what does it mean :S? Why is it that we Malaysians all say "Oh, it's 125 - left and 175 - right (for my eyes)"? Then I found this off a Yahoo question thingy:"It's not 500 or 600, it's 5.0 and 6.0. Ask your optometrist."-.-" Our optometrists are the ones that are telling us 125/175! Grr. I wonder how we're going to go get new glasses in other countries then."Oh, my left side is one hundred and seventy five-""WHAT?!!"3. I didn't know forums were that dedicated/Bakanishi strikes againOff soompi forums, May 13 2009:Would like to remind everyone that this is nothing but a rumor. It may or may note be factual. Believe whatever you want.I read this on japan-chatter.com which is mysteriously suspended today - maybe because Mr. Johnny didn't like what it had to say, lol.The story was that, this past weekend, Tegoshi (NEWS) was at a club "W" in Shibuya with male JE/industry friends, names given as M & K. I don't know if M and K are Massu and Koyama/Shige or not. I didn't think they saw each other much outside of the company but maybe they went out to have a drink after work, who knows. Some time after they arrived Akanishi (KAT-TUN) showed up with his friends/army troops/whatever they are called (although no mention of Yamapi*) and happened to pass by Tegoshi and company. Tegoshi stood up as though he was to say something to Akanishi. After seeing him Akanishi blew past him without another glance and yelled "失せろ!* over his shoulder to him as he left. Tegoshi, M & K looked very angry and left soon afterwards, ending up at club "P".*Yamapi was reportedly seen at the Tohoshinki Secret Code Concert [ally: LOL, HUI QIAN, WHERE ARE YOU~~~?!! I FOUND A REASON FOR YOU TO LOVE YAMAPI!!] the past weekend which possibly explains his absence.*usero = get out of my sight! it's very rough, almost is the equivalent of telling someone to f*** offfrom livejournal. If it's true: LOL, Kat-tun not only have bad relationships with their own members, they have bad relationships with other groups too! I find it so funny but I feel bad for Tesshi and the mysterious "M&K" (-cough-koyamama and massu-coughcough) too.If it's not true:Talk about annoying. Why can't people just stick to following Paris Hilton and leave NEWS/Kat-tun alone?4. Manga review!I've just started reading this new manga called Defense Devil. It's actually got a pretty cool concept. Basically, there's this guy, Kukabara (is anyone else going "Cuccaburra sits on the old gum tree?") who's the 3rd son of the Demon King. A long time ago, he got kicked out of Hell for some unknown reason (although, according to his pet/slave/thing Bichura, he's got a 'different attitude' from other demons, so I'm assuming he's a nice demon, which would've been bad for a successor to the King of Hell). So, anyway, he's been kicked out of hell so he has no more access to Dark Matter, which is like... extra juice for all demons so they can retain their true form and have magical powers and all that. Then, one day, he thinks up a way to get more Dark Matter and work his way back to Hell: he'll act as a defense lawyer for people who are wrongly sent to hell. The cool thing about him is that he's actually this really nice guy, but he's a demon. And it's a pretty funny manga too. The art isn't too bad, but it's shounen manga, so expect a D.Gray-man-ish style. It's a little more fluid than D.Gray-man, I think. The best part about it is that it's only 7 Chapters in so far, so you don't have much catching up to do. Plus, the demons he has to fight against are hot (except, the first one, she's a girl lol).5. Drama ReviewNobuta wo Produce is pretty cool! Plus, if you don't think Yamapi's a good actor, watch the MC part of the Koi no ABO dvd (it's on youtube, fully subbed) and you'll see how subdued he is in real life and on-stage. He rarely ever acts out or does something REALLY stupid. Like he does do little silly things, but not REALLY silly things. Then after that, watch the first episode of Nobuta wo Produce and you'll go :O! Seriously! His character is sooooo whacky and like... well, completely different from him and he's really convincing! Or at least, he was to me. Story-wise, it's a good show. I've only seen the first episode, but I'm already really excited about it. It's about this guy Kiratani Shuji (played by Kamenashi Kazuya of Kat-tun) who's the kind of guy who seems to get along with everybody but doesn't have any real friends. He does everything in his power to please all the people around him and because of that, he doesn't show them his true self and they all seem to lap up everything he does. Then there's Yamapi's character, Kusano Akira who's this seriously weird dude. He turns out to be the son of a super-rich CEO who kicked him out of the house and told him to "enjoy his youth" with no limit on his credit cards. But he winds up living with a tofu-maker in a small house somewhere (are all parent-type figures tofu makers? RE: 1 Litre of Tears). They both team up to "produce" (to make into the most popular girl in school) this girl named Kotani Nobuko who they nickname Nobuta. This is the Wikipedia summary, if that wasn't good enough for ya:Kiritani Shuji is the popular guy who gets along with everyone, from the jerks to the nerds to the just plain weird. The one person Shuji cannot stand is Kusano Akira. To Shuji, Akira is just plain annoying. He laughs, talks and acts funny. Things heat up when a new student comes to school. Her name is Kotani Nobuko, a girl who has no self confidence at all and is content at being made fun of and bullied in school. Shuji and Akira come to an accord that in order to make use of their "youth" they will "produce" Nobuko as the next popular girl. One of the conditions, however, is that nobody should find out that they are working together as a team to make this concept possible. Unveiled here is the story of true friendship between three unlikely candidates who would not have been friends if not given the special circumstances.
